Traveling and the holidays have kept me away from regular updates but I wanted to share a few bits of Sophia that have had us rolling (otherwise known as the bragging mom post) Mostly they are things I don’t want to forget but tickled me so I thought I’d share.
She’s doing great in her Montessori school, has started the Letter Box (literally a box filled with letters) and is putting short words together–dad, mom, cat, dog, hat etc. She’s SOOO excited about this I suspect she’ll be reading before we know it! She also LOVES her ballet and gave everyone in Florida a short run-down of her skills, her favorite moves seem to be the passe, arabesque and of course the “twirl”.
Over Thanksgiving while driving to Aunt Jan’s house with Ray she counted down and put us all in time-out. For what I’m still not sure we were shocked and laughing too hard to ask!
One night while making dinner she politely asked for a cherry tomato, then another, then exclaimed “hey Mom, I having a tomato party in my mouth”.
For Christmas she wants to ask Santa for a jump rope and a telescope–Santa has both covered but I thought the telescope was great, we pointed out the first star one night and told her she could make a wish…she wished for a telescope so she could see more stars (Keith thinks she just wants more wishes ;))
She’s growing like a weed, is super inquisitive and doesn’t forget a thing–even her pre-school teacher thinks her memory is a little scary at times–and she’s seen a lot of kids over the years!
